Collection: Solitaire

Named after the extinct flightless Solitaire bird, which was endemic to the Island of Rodrigues, located in the Indian Ocean just East of Madagascar and was part of the Columbidae family.

The Solitaire went extinct in the late 18th century through the introduction of foreign animals and the predation of humans.

The name Solitaire comes from their social behaviour of remaining solitary until mating season. Its closest relative is the extinct and renowned Dodo from the neighbouring island of Mauritius.

The Solitaire frame is a unisex model that comes with a variety of high-quality Polarized lenses with a shiny black and tortoise shell frame.
