Collection: Red Rail

Named after the extinct flightless Red Rail endemic to the Island of Mauritius, located in the Indian Ocean just East of Madagascar.

The Kiwi bird look alike, just larger than a chicken, went extinct in the late 17th century through the introduction of foreign animals and predation from humans.

Easily attracted by colours, the Red Rail was an easy gamebird for the Dutch and French settlers and considered much more palatable than the famous and larger Dodo.

The Red Rail frame is a masculine frame that comes with a variety of high-quality Polarized lenses and with a shiny black frame.

The Africa Dodo, envision conservation through our lenses. 💚
